I have to admit, for me, mindmapping has been sort of an aquired taste. I didn’t see much use in them at first.

But over time, with use, I’ve become a fan.

They help organize my thoughts. They’re good for planning all sorts of things; to-do lists, trips and vacations, projects.

I really like them for planning out wetsites.

I recently began using the online mindmapping tool at mindmeister.com and I really like it. It’s just handy to be able to get to your mindmaps from any Internet connected computer.

They offer a free version, and of course a more full featured upgrade. But at just $4 per month, that’s nearly free as well.

Check it out.

Do you get great ideas for your business while surfing the net, but forget them later?

Your blog can save the day.

When you get a great idea – for an article, new product or nearly anything – open your blog editing page.

Enter your idea and save it as a draft.

Now you can come back to it later – but no one else can see it, because you haven’t published it.

I like to leave notes about my idea in the body of the draft. I can easily come back to them later and expand on them.

If I am working on an article, after I get it fleshed out completely, I can then click on “Publish” and my new article will be added to my blog/website for all to see.

This helps me remember those sudden flashes of inspiration.

Well, here it goes. I am officially launching this site.

First off, the name is kind of a tongue twister – MembershipSiteShop.com – say that 3 times real fast.

That points out one of the real pain in the butt realities of the Internet these days. It is really hard to find a good domain name.

Domain names are the new real estate of the 21st century. In fact there are many similarities between domain names and real estate, including brokers and investment groups.

They buy up anything that has any chance of being entered into a search engine. They grab any domain that expires, hoping to get traffic from surfers hunting for the old site.

I don’t know if you can find any domain name that is a single English word with .com added to it. About all that’s left are multi-word phrases.

And tongue twisting domain names.

Anyhow, I hope to build this into a one-stop shop for all things membership site related.

So I guess my tongue twister will do.

I forge onward.

Welcome to the site.
